About

_Rydemption Entertainment and Moth Theatre Company Presents...
"Orange Flower Water" by Craig Wright at The Moth Theater
Feb 23rd 2012 - March 31st 2012 Thursday, Friday, Saturday 8pm
Directed by John Markland
Starring: Jonathan Tucker, Amanda Brooks, Ryan Surratt, Rochelle Greenwood

Orange Flower Water is about two married couples, with children, who live in apparent relative bliss until two of them begin a passionate affair.

Penned by Six Feet Under co-writer Craig Wright, Orange Flower Water is a dark, funny, and ultimately life-affirming examination of the cruelties people inflict on the ones they love  or once loved  in order to stay alive.

Directors Note

_____ This play stared me down the first time I looked it in the eye – I couldn’t finish. I was still living it. A year later, I could read it but I was biased, a judgmental pair of eyes with gritted teeth. Sometime passed and some forgiveness seeped in allowing hope to sprout. Nancy banks, Amanda Brooks, Ryan Surratt, Rochelle Greenwood and Jonathon Tucker approached me with such inspiration, courage and willingness that the humanity of this story became an invitation.

We grow and evolve into relationships and for some, into parents. The children we have are the heart and soul of who we can be. Their love is the source. The humanity of this play and our world at large is in allowing this source to flow through ourselves as well as everyone else involved.
